Library Services

CIRCULATION SERVICE

This section plays a pivotal role for providing the books to readers. The readers may contact the librarian regarding the maters relating to library membership, fine and clearance etc. the general books, theses have been shelved in the section. The new arrivals have been placed near the library notice board. If particular books are not where to find it on the shelf, the book may be traced out by consulting the catalogue through its author, title or subject.

ONLINE PUBLIC ACCESS CATALOGUE (within the Library):

The Library presently has a collection of more than 2,000 volumes. It currently subscribes some important printed journals and has access to over all e-journals available on HEC digital library through GC University. In addition to these, the library also has preprints, newspapers, maps, etc. Besides, the library is equipped with modern resources such as online and offline databases.

INTER-LIBRARY LOAN (ILL)

If a particular item is not available in our collection, the library has arrangements to acquire it from other libraries, both within the country and abroad. ILL request forms are available at the circulation desk.

REFERENCE SERVICES

An active help desk provides efficient and reliable services under the supervision of professional librarians. Users may make queries by telephone, fax, and e-mails.

PHOTOCOPYING SERVICE

Photocopy of limited number of pages is provided free of cost to academic/scientific staff of ASSMS. Photocopying services are also extended to users of other non profit academic institutions. For such users, a nominal fee @ Re. 1.50 per page towards the cost of reproduction is charged.
